Black and white plaid is one of the most traditional prints you can get your hands on. Whether it is a piece of apparel, or home decor, you cannot go wrong. For the most part, you can wear or decorate with black and white plaid all year round. Style it with a pair of boots during the winter, or throw it on your porch table for a summer barbecue. Purchase a sharp black and white plaid peacoat or some fun plaid placemats. Catch my drift?!
During a recent trip to Napa Valley, I broke out a plaid maxi button-down – sold out but how cute is this dress? I styled the top with knock off Sanctuary leggings, and my go-to pair of knee-high boots. To finish off the look, and more importantly to add some color, I wore a deep maroon hat. The last thing you want to do after a long day of wine tasting is worry about your hair! If you don’t want to be in a dress all day, pair a plaid poncho with your favorite jeans and boots. I am particularly enamored with this one from Asos.
A note about the boots: These suckers are the comfiest and most versatile pair you’ll ever find. Did I mention they are only $40 on lulu*s?! Handsomely constructed and with just enough height, easily dress these kicks down or up for daytime or nighttime wear. Not a fan of black? It’s your lucky day! They are also available in taupe…check ’em out here.
