What to Wear in Yountville

If you’re looking to “do” wine country a new way, do it the Yountville way! This quaint little town has everything you need and some. Ever since our arrival to California, multiple people have recommended the dog-friendly hotel Bardessono, so we made it happen over the weekend. After 48 hours of luxurious living, we (GG included) already cannot wait to return. The service and property are both exceptional, and more impressive is the location along Yount Road. You are walking distance to everything, and across the street from the famous Bouchon Bakery…but more about that later.

Now that you know what you are getting yourself into, let’s talk attire! One of the things that I loved the most about Yountville is the world-class dining…more importantly, fine dining without the jacket requirement. Anything goes – whether you’re filling up after a bike ride or indulging after a day of wine tasting, you’re appropriately dressed for the occasion. Taking advantage of every opportunity to dress up, I changed out of my “travel clothes” and into a chic boho ensemble.

Chic boho is slowly but surely becoming a regular style in my fashion repertoire. This weekend’s rendition consisted of a maxi skirt and platform sandals. Maxi skirts are perfect for California weather. You can wear them all year round, as long as you change up the shoes accordingly (see post Winter Pastels). For the day in Yountville, I styled a blue ornate maxi with a white racerback tank and platform sandals – a look that is easy to replicate with items already in your closet. I incorporated a blue crop top to create dimension and beaded bangles to funk things up. A glass of vino will forever be my favorite fashion accessory.

Thank you Raysa! I am SO glad that you approve. The shoes are great because they are actually comfortable. I am sure you can relate to a pair of good looking shoes that don’t leave your feet feeling so great. Happy to report these are not a pair of those. Thank you for stopping by.
