Navy and White Striped Dress

Blue and white stripes will forever remind me of the beach, and when in the right form, this classic print is suitable for nearly every summertime soiree. Today I am offering you some midi striped dress “fashpiration.”

With a few cocktail occasions already on the calendar, when I spotted this retro style striped dress, at Current Clothing, I was immediately sold! The hip hugging silhouette flatters in all of the right places, while the midi length balances out the slim fit and open back detail. My favorite kind of dress – classic with a twist! If you have an athletic body, a striped dress like this can potentially give you the hourglass figure you’ve always admired. Just make sure the darker hue hits at the natural waistline.

 
A piece like this is bold by itself. For that reason I kept the accessories to a minimum, and stuck with a conservative color palette. By simply incorporating white touches (a pair of earrings and a bracelet) the whole look was sharpened. Because I can never resist a pop of color, I styled this look with a red striped clutch and red sole shoes. You can never go wrong with red, white and blue!
