It’s official! The 2016/2017 winter months have been the wettest since our arrival to San Francisco three and a half years ago. When I invested in my first pair of Hunter Boots, I joked that I’d never be able to wear them. But lately it seems like they’re all I wear! The reason I am telling you this is because we shot these outfit pics in the middle of a rain storm and I was confined to a 4 x 4 dry spot of concrete. We did not want to water damage the camera! I feel for all of the bloggers who live in places with extreme weather conditions. No body puts baby in the corner! Below is my attempt at teaching you how to wear camo pants without looking like you just stepped out of the barracks!
Feminine Flair
One of the easiest ways to wear items from the men’s department is by mixing them with feminine pieces! I accomplished this with the most universally known ladylike items I own: Louboutins! Pearls or a fabulous handbag will have the same affect. Between the red soles and matching lip color, it is very obvious that I’m just a city chic kind of gal!
Get Funky
When you think of the camo print, boots, and utility jackets probably also come to mind. Consider styling your camouflage pants with something out of the ordinary. In this instance, I paired an off-the-shoulder poncho with my military garb. A cape blazer, bedazzled shirt or peplum top would all accomplish the same thing.
Confidence is Key
It sounds cliche, but kill it with confidence! It is a new year. Step out of the box and try something new. Wear an outfit you never imagined yourself dressing in. Purchase a pair of shoes you used to refer to as “gaudy.” I love fashion because there are no limits. Live it up!
