If you follow me on Instagram, then you were probably bombarded with b-day party madness last weekend for my big 3-0. And if you don’t follow me on “the gram,” no need to worry. You’ll get your fair share of birthday bliss right hurr. #YoureWelcome. Now my version of a “Birthday Bash at the Bar” is probably not what you were expecting to hear. Instead, it was a killer workout at The Bar Method – San Francisco Marina Studio.
There is nothing like starting the weekend with a whooping bang. And when a 60 minute workout involves master teacher Jen (left), and former Raiderette star, Kathleen (right), that is what you’re going to get. It was an absolute honor and privilege to introduce my fav bloggers and babes to the other kind of bar. The bar responsible for transforming my twigs for arms to guns, and my push-up ability from zero to 50. But more about the workout later. So how does one throw a birthday bash at the bar? With all of the obligatory party sweets and eats, goodie bags, and a theme of course!
Toasty, the finest establishment for avocado toast, fed my guests post workout grub. The spread included traditional avo toast and my personal favorite, the bruschetta “toasty.” A refreshing item was also on the menu – acai bowls. Aka the, “California Classic.” But it would not be a birthday party without cake. Sift Dessert Bar put together the most delicious assortment of mini cupcakes and macarons. They were adorned with rose gold and all the glitter to match the theme of the party! Never have I ever laid eyes on a more gorgeous edible creation.
In an effort to show my guests some love, I partnered with my go-to companies to secure nifty raffle items. K-DEER is my NUMBER ONE brand in activewear, and we collaborated to give one lucky winner a $100 gift card! Jonathan donated a 10 week supply of Latisse. Who doesn’t covet longer lashes?! Cover FX provided a raffle basket and awesome goodie bag swag. Sorry to say it, but if you have not yet tried the Perfect Setting Powder, your face is missing out. Last but not least, everyone got a taste of my favorite nutritious snack, courtesy of RXBAR.
But none of this would have been possible without the generosity of The Bar Method. Thank you Heather for helping my vision become reality. Together we created a very “rosey” party scene with balloons and all the sparkling fixings (literally and figuratively).
