30 years old and still shopping at Forever 21. I can already picture my 40 year old self writing a similar post 10 years from now…hahaha! I live and I breathe fast fashion. Why spend hundreds on something you wear once when you could spend $30 or $40?! I have no shame – I love shopping at Forever 21 for precisely that reason. But let me let you in on a little secret. Last year I accompanied Nancy of Current Clothing to market in Los Angeles…buyers from “Bloomies” and buyers from Forever 21 “shop” at the same place. I learned that price does not always dictate quality. Your neighborhood boutique may sell a top for $65 when Forever 21 sells the same one for $30. The difference is the mom and pop store buys six while the big box retailer buys THOUSANDS.

Alright, you already heard my schpiel about two piece sets. But if you’re new to my blog, simply put they’re effortlessly chic! Check out this polka dot skirt and shirt combo. I am not sure what I love more: the print or the ruffle details. This pretty little thing is a standout vacation piece.
Gone are the days of itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikinis…hello sexy one-pieces! I cannot get over this low back ruffle swimsuit! Again, I “retire” bathing suits after my vacation ends. No way am I spending $300 on a designer swimmie when $29 dupes like this are so accessible.
Seasonal shoes – another department where you can save your money by shopping at Forever 21. Shoe styles come and go. Splurge on timeless pieces instead. It’s funny, I have tassel embellished jackets, skirts, rompers, and earrings, but I do not own a pair of tassel sandals. How CUUUUTE are these slides for less than $20?! I dare you to find a less expensive pair!
