Checkered Knit Poncho

Do y’all remember the snuggie?! Even if you don’t own one, chances are high that someone you know does. Today I would like to introduce you to the fashionable version, the open front poncho!     With temperatures dropping and the holidays in sight, now is the time to wrap up in the most comfortable garment on the market, an open-front poncho. The Checkered Knit Poncho from Lord & Taylor makes a fabulous statement piece for fashionistas of all shapes and sizes. Add some autumn hues to a black on black ensemble, or create some drama over a mini skirt or dress. Also on a kick for faux suede, I combined the two, creating a cozy yet chic ensemble. The Shenandoah Olive Green Suede Mini Skirt from lulu*s was the perfect piece to peek out from underneath my stylish “snuggie.” Within the same color family as the poncho, yet contrasting enough to stand out, I paired this skirt with a black ruffle hem top and a wooden necklace.     I tied things together by incorporating chocolate brown booties into the mix, and polished off the look with an olive green clutch purse from Jest Jewels. Feather Jacket

As you are well aware, it was my blog’s first birthday, aka “Blogiversary” last Friday. Well, it wouldn’t be a proper celebration without a fab outfit, so I popped the champagne in style with my new feather jacket!     The Gianni Bini Lizzy Feather Jacket from Dillard’s, is officially my favorite piece of the year. Perfectly tailored, and ultra feminine, you’ll feel like a celebrity when you rock this fluffy thing. Wear it open, or fasten it closed, and style it with all black for the chicest look. I paired this jacket with a high neck lace bodysuit, steaming things up a bit. For bottoms, tuxedo pants seemed to fit the occasion, plus the slim legs didn’t interfere with the feather hem. You don’t want too much bulk under there!     I accessorized with pearl earrings and glitter pumps to incorporate some lighter hues back into the mix. These pumps are not your average heels, instead they are a killer knockoff of the ever popular Valentino Rockstud Pump. Happy Blogiversary to Me!

Good morning lovely readers, It may be Friday the 13th, but it is a pretty good day if you ask me, as it is officially my one year blogiversary and my 241st post! Thank you for your continued support and I am looking forward to another year of fashpiration, style tips and advice. Little Leopard Dress

You can always count on the Red Dress Boutique to carry chic fashions suitable for any occasion. Not to mention, a wallet-friendly price point.     When I came across this leopard swing dress, it was love at first sight! Evidently I was not the only one, as it is on backorder until the end of November. Great for a casual day in the city, I will be putting a lot of mileage on this little thing before the season is over! The plush material and long sleeves are the perfect combination for a crisp San Francisco day. Rock this dress solo with ankle boots, or pair it with opaque stockings and black pumps. The glamorous gals over at RDB even styled this number with colored tights and a floppy hat – the options are endless. A huge fan of black and brown ensembles, I took that route, and paired my black Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots with this piece.
