5 Makeup Products you Cannot Live Without

After several months of blogging and showcasing my favorite looks, I have been asked on more than one occasion about my makeup routine. Although I have already alluded to specific products in passing, I figured there was no better time than today to go in depth about my favorite makeup products. Here it goes!   1. Everyone has a “problem area” when it comes to their skin and face. Mine is undoubtedly under-eye dark circles. Unfortunately these things haunt those with an olive complexion…my number one defense against ’em is DermaBlend’s Cover Cream in Yellow Beige. Using Mac’s 190 Foundation Brush, I apply an upside down triangle underneath my eyes for full coverage. This stuff is truly a miracle worker!   2. bareMinerals Original Foundation in “Medium Tan” owns me – I do not hit the streets without it. Great for moderate coverage all while protecting your skin from dangerous UV rays thanks to the SPF 15 component.   3. Who would have thought that your eyebrows could affect your entire look?! Well, they sure can and the Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills will brighten your face – giving you an effortlessly primped appearance. This hot commodity is a […]

Wish List Wednesday: Le Specs Eyewear

If you’ve been keeping up with KK and GG on here or via Facebook or Instagram, then you’ve probably noticed my slight obsession with black and white retro sunglasses! Although mine were on sale at a local boutique, Ambiance, the trendy eyewear designer, Le Specs, makes a similar pair. Priced just right, these high quality sunnies, look like they were taken straight out of the 60’s.     As you’ve already witnessed, black and white Neo Noir spectacles are a fun addition to many ensembles. From boyfriend jeans to workday attire, to embroidered skirts, mix ’em in and make a statement for only $59.     How about them Go Go Gos?! If you’re fond of oversize frames, and pink is your color, then purchase these ASAP. For $69 be the hit of the party. Call me cat-woman, but I’ll take one of everything cat eye…     Flash lenses are in and I have a feeling they’re here to stay. Stand out in the crowd in a pair of Wild Child glasses. Featuring a gold and pink design, with a zigzag top bar, these are perfect for the fashionista with a retro heart and priced at $79.     To peruse […]

Off-the-Shoulder Bow Blouse

Getting dressed for work can become a repetitive task. Maybe your business casual attire consists of two pairs of pants and a few blazers. I am here to tell you that work clothes do not have to be boring! This is Especially true if you live in the Bay Area and office dress codes are a thing of the past. Regardless of where you reside, mix up your workplace wardrobe with a new fashionable blouse.     This ivory bowknot blouse will transform your workday ensemble, yet it is versatile enough to wear when you’re off the clock too. Rock this blouse two ways: sleeveless, or draped off-the-shoulder. In the outfit pictured above, I wore it draped off-the-shoulder and tucked it into a pencil skirt. Sticking to classics, I accessorized with black and white shoes and black tassel earrings. Although I am happy how it turned out, next time I’ll pair it with vegan leather gauchos for an edgy look, or top it with a black cropped blazer when bare shoulders are a no no.   A note about this blouse…available in one size only, and a $10.05 price tag, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and fit. No it does […]

Neon Color Block Maxi Dress

Color blocking is a very simple way to make a statement with your apparel. Think complimentary colors…pair a mustard blouse with a plum pencil skirt. Or, rock a magenta crop top with high-waisted royal blue pants. I think you get the point. While creating a color block ensemble yourself is easy enough, such styles are also available straight “off the shelf.” The Scoop Neck Color Block Hollow Out Sleeveless Maxi Dress from RoseGal is a great example.     This neon dress is full of flavor and only $12.32 – no that is not a typo! The gray bodice is a perfect backdrop for the contrasting orange and green panels. If you didn’t think it was possible for a dress to glow, this maxi proves you wrong. The loose fit is comfortable for warm weather, but I prefer a tapered look…hence the reason I belted the dress. Not wanting to disturb the lovely cutout neckline, I accessorized with earrings rather than a necklace. These iridescent beauties are great because they reflect any color you wear. I completed the look with chunky gray sandals and an orange clutch purse.   If you have not yet become a ShoeDazzle VIP member, click […]

Boho Vibes

According to the KK and GG handbook, it is just as important to own a reliable colorful/playful dress as it is a classic LBD. Call off the search…it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Frill of the Chase dress in chartreuse! This cheerful shift is flattering for many body types and suitable for virtually any occasion.     Finally pulling the trigger, after eying this little number for several weeks, I am happy to report it was well worth the $40 price tag (thanks for that lulu*s!). The loose fit is great for warm weather, while the drop waist and ruffle hem add just enough oomph! If chartreuse isn’t on your hot list, be the Frill of the Chase in coral instead. Although you could accomplish some strong boho vibes with flat shoes and a funky purse, I broke out my favorite Fringly sandals, and gold headpiece for a boho chic look. How’d I do?!   Shop this Post: Dress | Shoes | Headpiece | Ring   Are you reading this from your email? Visit KKandGG.com for the web version and to peruse all other outfits of the day.
