With a beach trip just around the corner, I thought it would only be fitting to feature a few of this season’s hottest beach party essentials on KK and GG! You cannot plan for a fun filled day in the water without an inner tube. But don’t settle for a boring old gray one either, consider it a fashion accessory and upgrade to this Gigantic Donut Pool Float! It might sound silly, but the rainbow sprinkles make it easy to match with and let’s get real, it is just plain cute! What good will it do you packing all of this goodness if you do not have a proper beach bag? For a whopping $7 carry all of your items in style with this bright magenta striped beach tote! It’s that good. You might as well also purchase the turquoise. A girl loves options! If you are spoiled by the San Francisco mild temperatures, and the high eighties make you a little nervous then this one is for you. Be sure to pack along your BTOOP clip on battery operated fan. Available in four charming colors – I chose the sunny yellow. Attach this sucker […]
Black and white never fails. By that I mean this combination will forever be considered a classic. Whether it is a black and white dress, a jumpsuit, or shorts and a top, you cannot go wrong with a good black and white outfit. I like to throw together an ensemble featuring these hues when I am in a rush or having one of those, “I have nothing to wear” moments. Just like black on black, black and white requires little to no thinking at all! When I came across the Nayala hooded heel by Izabella Rue on ShoeDazzle, I knew they would be the perfect finishing touch to a fashion-forward b&w look! Truly unique from any other style already in my shoe collection, these kicks look just like a 4.5 inch high open-toe bootie, plus a flirty tassel detail. I was pleasantly surprised by their level of comfort. I easily walked four or five blocks to our shoot location and my feet felt fine and dandy. With the shoe being the statement piece in this ensemble, styling the rest was pretty straight forward. I chose a pair of cut-off shorts because I did not want pants to coverup […]
Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in investing in quality pieces. But from a practical standpoint, if you are going to hand over a lot of hard earned money just for an article of clothing, make it a classic. The nude pumps photographed below are a good example…yeah the red soles up the market value but they practically match with everything and as long as my feet don’t grow or shrink, the ROI (return on investment) should be pretty good. If you’re reading this blog, then I think it’s safe to assume that you’ve heard of the brand For Love & Lemons. But if you haven’t, they are famous for their beautifully crafted lace and sheer garments. From gowns, to mini dresses, to two-piece sets, the aesthetic appeal is out of this world and the craftsmanship is superb. The only catch is, they are about $300 a pop. Leave it to the fabulous and oh so trendy Current Clothing for carrying a gorgeous knock off of the lace and mesh mini dress! This sheer and white stunner is only $89 and suitable for any fashion forward summer soirée or even the bride-to-be. A combination of tan mesh […]
You know the feeling when you walk into a store and spot an item that you just cannot live without?! Maybe you don’t even have an occasion for the piece but it is too good that you’d rather buy it on the spot than run the risk of being haunted by it if you resist. Well, that is the feeling I get every single time I step foot into Current Clothing. Unique from every other San Francisco clothing boutique – you can tell the buyers spend a lot of time researching and finding undiscovered brands. Aside from the statement pieces you cannot live without, you’ll happily find many basic items mixed in. During my last trip, it was this neon yellow skirt that caught my eye immediately. This yellow skirt is everything! The high-waisted fit helps balance out the bodycon silhouette, while the thick material sucks you in – keeping you from feeling overexposed. Never mind the hemline and awesome price point ($59)…while it doesn’t take much to complete a look with such a fabulous starting point, I styled this skirt with a black top this time around. Hardly your average black top, this pretty is what I […]
Is it July 8th yet?! If you have not yet already heard, the one and only, Urban Decay has done it again! Just when you think the Naked collection cannot get any better, they introduce another desirable product, the Naked Smoky palette. With names like, “Smolder,” “Password,” and “Dirtysweet,” I cannot wait to meet this hot item. If you already own any or all of the first three Naked eyeshadow palettes, then you have probably noticed that each kit has a theme. For example, the original Naked features an assortment of bronzy hues and neutrals – the shadows I wear most often. Naked 3 on the other hand, is comprised of rosey hues and neutrals – great for a special occasion or night on the town. It appears that Naked Smoky includes a diverse color range. According to an article published by Refinery29, founder Wende Zomnir explains there are as many as 15 steps in creating a smokey eye and with this palette alone, “whether it’s a super-intense black, supermodel smoky eye, or just a little more intense than you would normally wear — the office smoky eye,” you’ll be able to “nail it.” I couldn’t have said […]
