We all have those days where being comfortable takes priority. I am here to tell you that you do not have to sacrifice style in order to achieve it. Invest in a pair of faux leather leggings and it’ll change your perspective. Mine are only $11 – you’re welcome. I am not exaggerating when I say I wear my “wet leggings” three times per week. They are so comfortable that it feels no different than lounging in my favorite workout clothes. Who wants to fuss around with a zipper and fly when you can pull ’em on instead?! It used to be that leggings were reserved for causal outfits. I’m here to tell you that the sheen makes all the difference. Whether you’re walking to a fro with an umbrella and rain boots, or you’re dolled up for a date, take my word for it; faux leather leggings are suitable for the occasion. New York Fashion Week is officially three weeks away and it is going to be COLD. I plan to save room in my suitcase by committing to wearing these suckers at least twice. Let’s see how well my plan goes. Somehow I survived […]
Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, whatever you want to call it…February 14th is quickly approaching and it is time to start thinking about what you are going to wear. Although it’s quite cliché, I take advantage of the opportunity to wear pink or red. This looks is currently on my wish list and I am hoping it gives you a Valentine’s day outfit idea. The Dress Blush is the new black. You can never go wrong in a little blush dress. Over the past year, blush has become an acceptable color for year round wear. I love it because it’s a happy hue and you can find it in virtually any shape or form. The Simple Elegance Off-shoulder Suede Dress by Chicwish is the perfect flirty number to wear on your Valentine’s Day date! Featuring an off the shoulder neckline, this is the only way to give your “bae” the cold shoulder. The Shoes Have you ever laid eyes on a cuter shoe?! The Lilly by Steve Madden is a hybrid between a feminine ballet slipper and a traditional black pump. Whether you’re in the office, or on the street, take my word for it, all eyes will […]
Whether you like it or not, cropped denim is the new “it” thing. It is amazing how much a fashion staple like blue jeans evolve over time. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. So how do you wear this style? Allow me to explain. Start with Black When styled correctly, cropped denim can be very flattering. But, if you are on the fence about this new trend, start with basic black! Black jeans are slimming, flattering, and easy to style. I opted for a fringe hem pair. Wear Booties Take advantage of the opportunity to show off your new booties…without cuffing your jeans! Honestly, that is what I am the most excited about. I do not remember the last time I bought a pair of pants without having to hem them. I bought this embroidered bootie from Sole Society and receive endless compliments every time I wear it. It would be a shame to hide shoes like this underneath full length flare leg pants! Shake things up When you are experimenting with a new style, don’t be afraid to shake things up a bit. I accomplished this with accessories and a plaid jacket. […]
It is a new year. Say yes to new adventures. Step out of the box and try something new; including the way you dress. I never thought I’d own a yellow moto jacket, but it has become a closet favorite! The “crazier” I dress, the more questions I am asked. The more questions I am asked, the more opportunities I have to spread the word about my blog! It’s a win win. Warning: You WILL get noticed in a jacket like this. Have you ever seen a neon moto jacket?! See, there you go! But just like any other statement piece, you can tone it down. If you must… Black is always safe and it does not have to be boring. When I found this mock neck maxi dress, I knew it needed something to put it over the edge. Normally I would layer up with necklaces and earrings, but half of the reason this dress is such a sharp piece is because it is SO sleek. This yellow moto jacket was the perfect finishing touch. I used to avoid wearing garments with silver hardware, as I prefer gold, but it is one of my fashion […]
It’s official! The 2016/2017 winter months have been the wettest since our arrival to San Francisco three and a half years ago. When I invested in my first pair of Hunter Boots, I joked that I’d never be able to wear them. But lately it seems like they’re all I wear! The reason I am telling you this is because we shot these outfit pics in the middle of a rain storm and I was confined to a 4 x 4 dry spot of concrete. We did not want to water damage the camera! I feel for all of the bloggers who live in places with extreme weather conditions. No body puts baby in the corner! Below is my attempt at teaching you how to wear camo pants without looking like you just stepped out of the barracks! Feminine Flair One of the easiest ways to wear items from the men’s department is by mixing them with feminine pieces! I accomplished this with the most universally known ladylike items I own: Louboutins! Pearls or a fabulous handbag will have the same affect. Between the red soles and matching lip color, it is very obvious that I’m just a […]
