Take me to Booties Heaven

Bootie season is officially among us. It is my favorite time of year because the earthy colors are exquisite and booties are a comfortable style of shoe. Whether you’re in a dress, jeans, or something in between, the right pair of booties can elevate your ensemble. Below are two pairs currently on my wish list.   Let your velvet obsession begin! Who would have thought that this fabric would resurface in a variety of shapes and forms?! I sure didn’t after I retired my velvet overalls from Gap way back in the 90s (insert laughing emoji). Anyway, I’m stoked that velvet is “in” again because it’s actually very regal. How about this block heel bootie?! The “Edit” in blue is dreamy and it’ll match with everything you already dress your blue skinny jeans with.     It is safe to say that Kristin Cavallari and I have the same taste in shoes – I live in her slouch bootie during the work week. Feather Hem Dress

You may recall this feather hem dress from from a previous Wish List Wednesday post. There was no way I could publish a post of this nature without purchasing at least one of the featured items. Surprise, surprise…this LBD showed up on my doorstep a few days later.     “One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a little black dress” – Karl Lagerfeld. I could not have said it better myself! If you do not yet own a short, midi, and maxi LBD, hop to it. There is no better item to have on hand for a spontaneous occasion. Having a collection of varying lengths will provide you with even more options when you’re in an outfit pickle.     This feather hem dress is a playful take on the traditional LBD. You cannot help but crack a smile while wearing this little thing. Featuring a mock neck and long sleeve design, this item is perfect for your fall functions and can take you through the winter equally as well. Pom Pom Sweater

It is not a secret that I am a big fan of pom poms. Remember this summer time look?! It is your lucky day because I have hunted down a pom pom sweater and it may just be my favorite fall item to date!     This sweater is great because it is a relatively neutral hue and the sleeves are 3/4 length – two qualities I look for in a garment during the infamous transitional period. Wear it solo while the weather remains moderate, or pair it with a long sleeve button down when the temperature begins to drop.     With the temperature lingering in the mid 60’s, I dressed this pom pom sweater with a faux suede skirt. Being a one-size-fits all piece, expect the fit to be a bit boxy. For that reason, I went with a fitted mini skirt. It is always a good idea to balance out your ensemble with a fitted top and loose bottom or vice versa. When the winter weather officially rolls in, I’ll most likely swap the skirt for green skinny jeans. Wish List Wednesday: Blushing Over Blush

There once was a time where I was the true meaning of a pink lady. Just about everything I owned was pink! My love for the color went as far as having a custom license plate made for my car reading, “Pink 1” I kid you not! I was that girl. After the pink party ended several years ago, I swore I’d never wear the color again. Fast forward to 2016 and here I am again blushing over the color blush! This ensemble is currently on my wish list…although by the end of this post, it might be in my shopping cart.     Although my taste in color has certainly diversified since way back when, there is something so loving and sweet about the pale pink hue. When I came across these satin trousers, my creative mind began to roll. How fabulous would these be for a holiday party or date night soiree?! The high waisted silhouette makes them crop top friendly and the wide legs scream drama!     My first instinct was to dress them with a matching blush top.
