Denim Skirt + Cross Front Sweater

Bring on the fall weather! I know I’ve been talking a lot about transitional outfits, but it’s all for a good cause. There is nothing worse than spending an extra 30 minutes getting dressed because you are afraid your look is out of season. Add a denim skirt to your rotation and you’ll thank me later! For the warm September days where long pants are not an option, your denim skirt will become a life saver. Whether it’s an aline button up (as seen here), a maxi, or a distressed mini, they will all have the same affect. I chose the latter for today’s post. Now that you’re a proud owner of a denim skirt, how do you dress it? One way to do it is to layer. Consider topping sleeveless outerwear over your fall hues. In this look, I layered a faux fur vest over a sheer cropped top. The top kept me cool, while the vest added a nice autumn touch. Once you Go K-Deer, you Never go Back!

Working out has never been more enjoyable and it has nothing to do with the exercise itself. Rather it is because I’ve found my workout pants of choice and they’re almost too good to be true. Once you go K-Deer, you’ll never go back. These hot pants are a hybrid between your favorite spanx and your favorite workout leggings. The ultra high waist sucks in your goods while the spandex material smooths everything out. Who doesn’t love that?! The “Charleston” capri, as seen in these photos, has unfortunately sold out, but don’t fret because all of the available patterns are just as fit for a fitness loving fashionista! Prepare for the compliments to roll in. Whenever I wear the “Kayley Stripe” capri, my husband laughs in disbelief at all of the conversations they start. I have no doubt that each and every K-Deer style will trigger the same response. Wish List Wednesday: Fall Go-Tos

Let’s get real, packing away summer clothes is not very fun. The summer months are so blissful – it is always a bit of a let down come the end of August. Even if you are not technically back-to-school shopping, there is no better way to get yourself out of a funk then with some retail therapy! Today I am featuring a few fall go-tos that should also be on your wish list. One of the first items you should freshen up your wardrobe with is a reliable cardigan. Labor Day Outfit in New England

Happy Tuesday! It is hard to believe that it is already the 6th of September. I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day filled with friends, family, and fabulous outfits. I spent the weekend with my hubby in the quaint Connecticut town where I grew up. It is so much fun visiting “home” with Jonathan and showing him around the old towny spots that I used to frequent. The last time I was visiting New England I was busy photographing summer look books with Luke Wayne Photography. This trip, however, is dedicated to New York Fashion Week. Yippee! Whenever I visit CT, I use it as an excuse to step up my prep game. The easiest way for me to accomplish this is to throw on a striped garment and some pearls (last seen here). This time around I rocked a cold shoulder top and my go-to chunky necklace. This top is one of my favorites because it is a feminine take on a boxy boyfriend shirt.
