Wish List Wednesday: Nordstrom Sale Picks

If you are just finding out about the Nordstrom sale, the good news is you have another 10 days to shop it! The bad news however, is that you missed out on a week’s worth of goodies. Anyway, last week I rounded up fall essentials for you all, but this week I am all about accessories and activewear. Below are a few deals and steals currently on my wish list. How many times have you run into Sephora “just for a lipstick” and come out with a whole new cosmetics collection?! Yeah, that is what I thought! It is nearly impossible to enter a beauty goods store without purchasing a handful of exciting new items. That is why I am encouraging you to take advantage of the rock bottom prices during the Nordstrom Sale. Now is the time to experiment with new products from the brands you already love. I am eyeing Bobby Brown’s “Sultry Bronze” eye set…love me a brown smokey eye! Lemon Peplum Top

When life gives you lemons…style a cute outfit. No really though! If you follow me on Instagram then you already caught a glimpse of this darling lemon peplum top from Current Clothing (if you don’t follow me on Instagram, hop to it!). It is funny to see what fashions come and go, and food items have made their way to the top in recent months. I used to think graphic prints were not for me…apparently I did not do a good job styling them in the past. Here is how to transform graphic prints from kitschy to chic! Do not over do it You all know I am a fan of matching coordinates, but there is such thing as being too matchy! Maybe you own a pair of lemon shaped earrings, and a printed lemon tote. Congratulations, you’re up with the times, but this doesn’t mean you should wear them all together. The only way this works is if the colors are contrasting tones. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

It’s here! Unless you are lucky enough to own a Nordstrom debit or credit card, then you have been counting down the days until the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public, like the rest of us. Well the day has arrived and there is no better time to stock up on fall essentials then now. Even though it might seem a little bit odd to put summer on hold temporarily, man up because you’ll be kicking yourself when you wish you had bought those skinny jeans or booties at a rock bottom price. I have done my best to round up some fall essentials that you should be on the look out for during your #NSale shopping outing. Booties Booties make for great transitional pieces during that awkward outfit period between summer and fall. If you do not yet own a reliable pair, look for a neutral pair. Pay attention to details such as the hardware (I always prefer gold to silver) and heel height. If you want an everyday pair, go with a shorter heel – vice versa. Geometric Dress

“Life isn’t perfect, but your outfit can be!” This is exactly how I felt when I put on this easy breezy summertime outfit. I have never been good at “throwing” together an ensemble but when you are working with a statement piece like this geometric dress, piecing together a look is quite easy. Do not let a multicolor print intimidate you. There is no better time to rock a vibrant geometric dress than during the summertime (unfortunately this exact one is sold out but I found a similar one). You can always tone it down with accessories or jackets and other toppers if the weather permits. For example, the featured look would have looked equally as fab with a white or blue denim jacket over it. If you prefer to go unnoticed, stick with a neutral pair of shoes and matching purse. Getting noticed comes along with the title of “Fashion Blogger.” I consider it a job well done when a stranger goes out of their way to ask me about my clothes. Wish List Wednesday: Summer Splurge

If you have been following me for a while then you know by now that contemporary women’s fashions at an affordable price point is my niche. I do not believe that you have to spend an arm and a leg on designer clothes to look good. Plus, I would rather have three of something than one $150 item. But every now and then it is very tempting to splurge on a sharp looking dress, or fabulous pair of shoes, and sometimes we cannot resist those temptations. It’s ok – it happens to everyone! Today’s wish list consists of a few splurge items…although none of these items would leave me homeless, they are a bit more than I typically spend on a piece. The Summer Nights Jumpsuit is not your average jumper. This stunner is crafted out of 100% silk and will have heads turnin’! The navy and peach floral design is so unique and makes for a suitable combo during the summer and fall months alike. I am swooning over the thigh high slits and ultra low cut back.
