Wish List Wednesday: Fourth of July Attire

With Independence Day right around the corner, it’s time to get your red white and blue in order…if you’re feeling festive that is! Today’s Wish List consists of Fourth of July attire suitable for the summer holiday. For the fashionista who appreciates the significance of the day, but is uncomfortable decking out in flag garb, these striped pants could be for you! I would totally rock them with a red off-the-shoulder top but they’d look equally as cute with a white one instead. The world is your oyster. Maybe it’s too hot where you live to wear long pants…consider a dress instead. The Folksy Cross-stitch Off-shoulder Dress is the perfect happy medium. Shopping for shampoo and conditioner is overwhelming. More times than not I find myself standing in the haircare aisle for an embarrassing amount of time, aimlessly staring at all of the bottles. There are so many brands and products claiming to do the same thing…are they gimmicks? If I spend more will it guarantee me a healthier and shinier mane? If you too experience this “stressor” at the pharmacy, then this blog post is for you. Introducing Function of Beauty, shampoo and conditioner formulated for your unique hair type! How Does it Work?! Pom Pom Sandals

In kindergarten we used to glue pom poms to popsicle sticks during arts and crafts class. Fast forward to 2016 and just as we used to embellish our artwork in grade school, fashion designers worldwide are adorning their designs and styles with pom poms. I have already exposed you to earrings, shorts, and phone cases, so how about a pair of pom pom sandals?! A few months ago, my bff introduced me to quite possibly the coolest shoes on earth; pom pom sandals. Just when you thought the fad could not get any bigger…BAM! Because a pair of flats seldom makes it into one of my outfits, I searched the internet for a budget-friendly alternative and just so happened to find the “Posh” Embellished Lace-Up Sandal, by Chinese Laundry. These shoes will stop people in their tracks! I styled this look modestly because I wanted all eyes on the feet. This LBD from lulu*s was the perfect addition. Navy and White Striped Dress

Blue and white stripes will forever remind me of the beach, and when in the right form, this classic print is suitable for nearly every summertime soiree. Today I am offering you some midi striped dress “fashpiration.” With a few cocktail occasions already on the calendar, when I spotted this retro style striped dress, at Current Clothing, I was immediately sold! The hip hugging silhouette flatters in all of the right places, while the midi length balances out the slim fit and open back detail. My favorite kind of dress – classic with a twist! If you have an athletic body, a striped dress like this can potentially give you the hourglass figure you’ve always admired. Just make sure the darker hue hits at the natural waistline. A piece like this is bold by itself. For that reason I kept the accessories to a minimum, and stuck with a conservative color palette. By simply incorporating white touches (a pair of earrings and a bracelet) the whole look was sharpened.
