Wish List Wednesday: Gold Home Goods

Gold accents are a favorite of mine and I am not just talking about in my wardrobe! Rather, around my home. This Wish List Wednesday I am sharing a few of my favorite gold home goods (all currently on sale) that I may or may not already own. When it comes to my home, I like everything neat and tidy (somehow my closet does not count). Rather than storing decanters of adult beverages on the kitchen counter, organize them on a bar cart. Featuring three mirrored shelves, this pretty little thing can easily “cart” around bottles, mixers, and cocktail napkins to name a few. When you’re hosting an underage crew, transform it into a cookie buffet, hot chocolate station, etc., the options are endless. Is it just me, or do you all agree that your cocktail tastes better when you drink it out of good-looking glass wear?! Toss the plastic wine and champagne flutes, and serve your concoction in gold faceted stemless glasses. Now these I would store on the kitchen counter because they’re so bleeping pretty! Boyfriend Jeans for Brunch

Boyfriend jeans for brunch…how is this the first time that I am pairing the two?! Just past breakfast-time and right before lunchtime, I’d rather starve than ruin my appetite before indulging in brunch foods. With eyes bigger than my stomach, I over eat and habitually leave with a “food baby.” So, rather than eating less, brunch in loose fitting boyfriend jeans! Aside from the comfort level, bf jeans are a great versatile style because you can easily take them from day to night. With a chill in the air after all of the wet weather we’ve been having, I paired my jeans with a casual black sleeveless sweater. I accessorized the look with a tassel sequin clutch purse and black caged heels, last seen here. For a pop of color, I incorporated turquoise earrings and a matching ring. Workout Pants that Pop

The next time you get ready to workout, think of it as an occasion. Not only will it motivate you to do your best, but it will inspire you to “dress for the occasion.” I genuinely look forward to putting on my bar method garb because I think of it as another opportunity to make a statement. When a family friend took me to Rock & Rouge, in Sedona, I was truly in workout pants heaven, and I could not wait to share my latest fabulous find with all of you! When it comes to workout pants, I prefer the capri length. For hot-natured folks like myself, full length leggings can become uncomfortably warm. The JOJO Capris hit mid calf (keep in mind I am 5 feet tall), making them a great option for barre class, spin, and everything in between. Red Carpet Favorites: Academy Awards 2016

With the 2016 Academy Awards in the books, let’s cut to the chase and talk red carpet looks. Boy oh boy did Gaga, Rachel and Alicia wear their dresses well. Three words: gaga for Gaga. This lady in white STUNNED in a Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit…but the word “jumpsuit” does not do it justice. This beautiful flowing ensemble featured a strapless sweetheart neckline tapering into palazzoo legs. The draping details on the bodice added just enough dimension while the sweeping train created drama. If there was one item I could afford to splurge on, it would be this. Rachel McAdams was regal in emerald. Simply put, this August Getty Atelier gown is my kind of dress! When you are working with a solid color, the fine details become more important than ever. The dainty halter neck, princess seams, and thigh high slit were the perfect finishing touches. Although I would have chosen gold, the long delicate earrings and matching strappy sandals were spot on. Alicia Vikander rocked the red carpet in a yellow Louis Vuitton gown, fit for royalty.
