Pink Striped Sweater and Blue Jeans

I used to avoid striped sweaters like the plague. They remind me of old school fashions, but not the stylish retro ones. When I laid eyes on this beaut, however, the first thing that came to mind was bubble gum! This is not your average pink striped sweater! Just like the sugary candy, there is something so sweet and happy about it. Crafted out of a fine knit nylon blend, this pretty little thing can go casual or dressy thanks to its decorative sheen. We had tickets to an afternoon concert in Berkeley, so I went the casual route and paired this pink striped sweater with distressed denim. Who would have thought that intentional tears in your jeans would be considered a fashion statement?! Aside from being very stylish, swapping out regular denim for distressed denim is one of the easiest ways to add flair to your ensemble. Anyway, although flats would have been totally appropriate, skinny jeans on a curvy five foot frame are not very forgiving. San Francisco Brunch Spot: Outerlands

It was a new year’s resolution to venture out of the neighborhood and try new restaurants. So far so good as we have already made it to Rich Table, Dosa, and finally Outerlands. Over the last two years it seems like everyone and their mom has asked us if we had been to the hot San Francisco brunch spot, Outerlands. I am not sure what took us so long, considering they have a dog-friendly heated and covered patio. Yes, we are those people. I often joke and say, I don’t know what the interiors of our favorite restaurants look like, but it is not a joke, I really don’t! Anyway, while the rain briefly dissipated, we ventured out to Ocean Beach for a highly anticipated meal. If you do not like waiting in line, Outerlands is not for you. We have become accustom to waiting as we often indulge outside on a patio with our dog. Our initial thought was, “could it be any longer than a regular weekend wait at Delarosa?” Turns out it can! Wet Weather Game on Point

Confession: I am officially a fair weather snob. Can you really blame me? After two and a half years of temperatures in the mid 60’s and sun shining 90% of the time, three weeks of rain has me feeling like MEH. After too many days straight in lululemon leggings, leg warmers, and sweatshirts, it was time to step up my wet weather game…BIG TIME. Here is how I spent my MLK Day. I love a look that can easily go from day to night. One easy way of accomplishing this is by putting together an ensemble that looks equally fabulous in flats or heels. My hubby and I worked from home Monday, so I needed an outfit that was appropriate for a causal lunch date, as well as a night out at the symphony. Rather than making an outfit change after dinner, I pieced together a look that would match with my Hunter rain boots and my Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots. Wish List Wednesday: For the Barre Addict

When you’re a true barre addict like me, you’re always thinking of ways to vary your studio style! While your lulu leggings perform just fine, there’s no better way to get motivated for your next sweat session than with new workout clothes and accessories. Below are a few items currently on my wish list. A couple of Saturday’s ago I had the pleasure of attending a blogger event at my home studio, hosted by Carbon38. Plaid Button Down Shirt

Plaid: The pattern that keeps on giving. Hold on to all of your plaid pieces. The older they get, the better they get! A broken in plaid flannel top is so cozy, and it will forever remain stylish. After the wet weather in San Francisco finally cleared up, there was no better way to ring in the weekend than with the flannel top I ordered on Amazon Prime. That’s right – the Prime member benefits you depend on for all of your paper goods, and miscellaneous household items include ladies fashions. I ordered this Plaid Button Down Shirt by JOLLYCHIC on the 11th, and it arrived exactly two days later on the 14th. It was my first time shopping for apparel on Amazon, but I was confident with my purchase thanks to all of the product reviews. I am happy to report the quality and fit exceeded my expectations.
