The life of a fashionista can be a bit exhausting at times. What I mean by that is that you are no longer satisfied with the “simple things.” Your dog’s nylon leash is no longer adequate – you must have the beaded one. The silicone iPhone case is too plain…you need the metallic one covered in sparkles. Catch my drift?! After my sweet hubby gifted me with a brand new DSLR camera in October, he kindly suggested I purchase a camera bag to protect it…DUH DUH DUH! It is now the first week of January and I am still bagless. Who knew it would be so hard to find an attractive camera bag?! A thank you is in order to my instagram friend @ACourageousBeauty for introducing me to Mod Camera Accessories. The fine products are everything I have been looking for and some. The most important ancillary item to all of your photography equipment is a camera bag. Your prized possession is essentially another set of eyes documenting your story – handle it with care. That is where the Lux Camera Bag comes into play! This cross-body bag is a fashionable take on the traditional camera bag. Featuring a […]
If you follow me on Instagram, then you witnessed my Khloe Kardashian moment last Friday for New Year’s Eve. Long story short, I asked Kristin at the Red Chair Salon to give me Khloe hair and she nailed it. Anyway, I had another one over the weekend in my new pom pom beanie from Jess Lea Boutique, and gold earrings. I thought it was good enough to share. I cannot stress enough the importance of accessorizing. Maybe I am preaching to the choir, but this look perfectly demonstrates how the right add-ons can transform a look. In all seriousness, without the pom pom beanie this outfit would be lacking pizzaz! When creating this look, I started out with a cute black and gold striped tee. Going for an edgy vibe, I paired the top with black distressed jeans – my answer for everything lately. While there is nothing wrong with jeans and a tee, I took it up a notch, incorporating a cape blazer into the mix. These toppers are quite possibly the chicest pieces of the season. Further embellishing the outfit with a tassel necklace, gold jewelry, and a taupe handbag, it is safe to say this […]
Pastels remain hot for the wintertime. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post featuring winter white and “Rose Quartz,” one of Pantone’s colors of the year. If you are still having trouble deciding which cotton candy hues to incorporate into your wardrobe, start with blush. Just like tan, brown, or ivory, blush can act as a neutral too. You can never own enough of those! I’ll be the first to admit that wearing maxi length anything can be a bit of a challenge, if you were blessed with a petite frame. On the other hand, I’ll also admit that maxi length garments will effortlessly elongate your figure. So, rather than paying your tailor to chop off a foot of fabric, the next time you are in the market for a maxi skirt, search for a “midi” instead. That is how I scored the Contemporary Vented-Hem Midi Skirt from Forever 21! While it hits the 5′ 9″ model at her mid calf, it falls right below my ankles. “Olive” this piece for many reasons, the first of which is the color, obviously! The hip hugging silhouette is very flattering, and the back slit screams sassy. […]
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful celebration last night, filled with champagne, sequins, and sparkles! I indulged in one of the best meals I’ve had in San Francisco, to date, thanks to the very talented chefs at Rich Table. Make it a New Year’s resolution to dine with them if you live in the Bay Area. Anyway, I want to thank you for your readership during 2015. It has been a great year and I am already looking forward to what 2016 has to offer. Below are a few of the most popular looks from 2015. Now that all of our New Year’s Eve Party Essentials are in order, we can focus on the most important detail of the night. The outfit, of course! It would not be New Year’s Eve without sequins and sparkles. Over the last decade the holiday season has truly become the “glitter season.” Last year I rung in 2015 in a metallic peplum top, but this year is officially a dress year. A bodycon midi is the perfect balance if comfort is a priority. The hip hugging silhouette shows off your curves, while the below the knee length keeps things classy. This glittery dress from Ambiance is classic with a twist, thanks to the mesh back and side paneling. When styling a statement piece, you do not want to over do it with accessories. That is why I paired this dazzler with matching t-strap sandals. To accentuate the gold and silver print, I stacked up some pewter bracelets, put on rhinestone earrings, and rocked a pair of gold 2016 glasses. I hope you have some fun plans Thursday night. I am trying Rich Table for for the first time. Although I am not totally sure of the attire, […]
