When you think of suspenders, you probably envision a clip on accessory for a men’s suit. Insert a fashionista into the picture, and this is what you get…a pair of green suspender shorts, an ivory turtleneck, and a pair of gladiator wedge sandals.
While on a weekend trip to the Cleveland Metro Area, my hubby and I stopped by Chagrin Water Falls, aka Small Town USA, for some quality time. This quaint little square is full of eclectic shops, charming restaurants, and most importantly, waterfalls. Along with a trip to “Pleasantville” comes a fab outfit. The Suspend My Time Olive Green Suspender Shorts from lulu*s were the perfect option. Made out of lightweight fabric, these short-shorts will help you beat the heat and look good while doing it. To balance out the low cut neckline, I paired these suspender shorts with an ivory sleeveless turtleneck (also from lulu*s) and dressed it up with a chunky statement necklace. I polished off the look with my favorite lace-up gladiator wedges and a black and white plaid clutch purse.
If exploring the suburbs of Cleveland is in your future plans, add an afternoon at Chagrin Water Falls to your to-do list. Work up an appetite for happy hour at the newly renovated Jekyll’s Kitchen, and try the homemade truffle chips. Once you have taken enough pics of the water falls, stop by the gazebo for another photo op, then continue on shopping and antiquing.
