Cutoff Shorts and a Tee

Cutoff shorts are a springtime staple. Similar to distressed jean pants, the unfinished hem creates a bit of flair. Although the options are endless, I styled mine with a not so basic tee from lulu*s.

 

 

I am not good about buying tops. I don’t know about you, but for me, it is easier to justify a skirt or dress splurge than a plain top purchase. The only problem with this mentality is that when I just want to “throw on” a shirt and jeans, it’s slim pickings in my closet. So, starting today, I am putting an end to this nonsense and stocking up on shirts! The Hang Time Tee is a great option for fashionistas like me who have a thing against basic t-shirts. It functions like a standard scoop neck, yet the slim fit is figure flattering and the knot detail will add just enough oomph to your casual chic ensemble. I paired the brown version with my cutoff shorts, but it is also available in gray, black, and ivory.

 

 

Accessories, accessories, accessories! No matter what look you are going for, consider it a sin to leave the house without accessories. I took this look to the next level with the help of some boho jewelry (last seen here) and a hat visor. How is this the first time that I am experimenting with one of these?! For all the ladies out there who were blessed with a smaller than average head circumference, meet your new bff.  This versatile little thing is not only adjustable, but it also features UPF 50+ sun protection. Did I mention it can be rolled up making it easy to travel with?! Anyway, I polished off the outfit with chunky platform sandals and a blue tassel clutch.
