In today’s episode of Kelsey’s Kloset, radio host Shan of 99.7Now and I discuss celebrity hair hacks while wearing wigs ourselves! And let me tell you…there is a “hair tool” for everything. Yea or nay on the purple bob?! Exhibit A: Now you see ’em, now you don’t. Have you ever wondered how style icons such as Halle Berry and Kylie Jenner rock bangs so effortlessly?! It’s all in the “V Bang” clip-in extension. This sneaky little thing clips in underneath the top layers of your hair for a au naturel appearance. Exhibit B: What does it take to achieve Ariana Grande’s signature look?! A whole lot of wrap ponytail extensions! These hair pieces fit around your natural ponytail creating volume and length. Featuring a divided hair strand, covering the hair tie has never been easier! For a superstar quality pony, buy at least a 22 inch wrap. A special thanks to The Hair Shop SF for offering their space!
‘Tis the season for all the parties. Whether you have a wedding to attend, an expecting mother to shower, or maybe you are the guest of honor, this sweet little bow dress will suit the occasion. Special occasions call for photo taking. For that reason, I rarely wear the same “special occasion dress” twice. When I’m in the market for a statement piece, the Asos Design collection is the first place I look. So many of the items are under $100 and reflect current trends. This bow dress included with only a $60 price tag! The Asos Design collection is also size inclusive featuring: petite, plus, tall, and maternity lines. Hooray! Feel pretty in pink wearing this stylish dress. It’s easy to wear as it does not require “sprucing.” The material is thick and stretchy, yet the cut is loose and flattering. It barely skims the belly and hugs the hips in all of the right places. The over-sized bow adds just enough oomph to this classic dress. Pair it with pearls for an ultra feminine feel. It’s officially that time of year…where San Franciscans veg out in Golden Gate park for the Bay Area’s biggest festival: Outside Lands. Call me close-minded, but if porta potties are involved, it is not my jam. If I was not so high maintenance going to attend however, I would wear this tie dye set! Hear me out. What goes around comes around! I can still remember tying a Hanes under-shirt into a tiny little bundle inside the bathtub of my childhood home in the early 90s. Fast forward to 2019 and Kelsey Takes Tie Dye 2.0 is what I refer to as, “modern day chic!” 31 going on 13. Haha! You already know my thoughts on biker shorts…they have the ability to be dressed gracefully and elegantly. Today’s outfit is a playful rendition on the hottest new trend. What you see here is a spandex romper and a high low top. I am always quick to cover my backside when I wear biker shorts. #BigBootyProblems. You never know what you are going to get in the summer July, weather-wise in SF. For that reason I topped off the look with a pink denim jacket. […]
In today’s episode of Kelsey’s Kloset, radio host Shan of 99.7Now and I discuss my FAVORITE life hack: Glamsquad! Why would you ever leave the comfort of your own home for a blowout or makeover when professionals are available and willing to come to you?! With the ease and reliability of “the squad,” we can all live like the Kardashians for a day! Introducing the elite beauty on-demand service: GLAMSQUAD. Exhibit A: When Glamsquad blows out my hair, I get at least four good hair days out of it. That means I am punctual and less stressed for more than half the week. #WorthIt. Cut the grease in between washes with this dry shampoo. Pro tip: spray it at your roots before bed and wakeup with a fresh head. Take a hairdryer to your hair on low heat and voila! Exhibit B: The iconic Blowout Lotion makes those dreaded wash your own hair days more tolerable. With just a small dollop of this “potion” your hair will be tangle and frizz free. I use this stuff with a wide toothed comb when I get out of the shower. Bonus: it also acts as a thermal heat protectant. Gotta love a […]
