Wish List Wednesday: The Clutch Addition

If there is one fashion accessory you can never own enough of, it is clutches and purses. Let’s get real, when is the last time you left your house without something to tote your precious belongings in? Never? That’s what I thought.   The more leopard you can work into your wardrobe, the better. This classic print is flooding the market in all shapes and forms, and the Leopard Foldover Clutch, from Jess Lea Boutique, might as well become a closet staple. Whether you pair it with black, brown, red, or green, it’ll look good – consider it a neutral.     The Glitter Bug iPhone Wristlet, by Kate Spade, is perfect for the light packer. This glitzy phone case doubles as a wallet, featuring an ID slot as well as four others for your credit cards. A mirror conveniently located in the interior makes applying makeup on the go easy peasy. When you’re not using it as a clutch, remove the wristlet and use as a wallet.     When in doubt go with black. This fashion hack is not only applicable to coordinating a top and bottom, but it works for accessories too. How about the Ready to Pounce Black […]

Beaded Skirt

Have you ever had one of those “oh em gee” shopping moments, when you come across the perfect item, and you nearly panic looking through the rack for your size?! I definitely had one of those when I spotted this beaded skirt – luckily my size was in stock!     This beaded skirt from H&M is unique, well-fitting, and perfect for the month of November. Featuring an embroidered front covered with intricate beading, you will get noticed when you step out in this little thing. Dress it up with over-the-knee boots, and a steamy black top (hello Thanksgiving outfit!), or go with neutral tones for a less fancy look. This time around I chose the latter of the two, and styled this piece with a glittery gold turtleneck and chocolate brown accents. The gold top helped bring out some of the lighter hues in the skirt, while the brown fur boots and wooden necklace brought out the darker tones. I polished off the ensemble with a chunky bracelet and a burgundy cut-out clutch purse. How would you style this skirt?!      Shop this Post: Skirt | Shirt (similar) | Necklace (similar) | Bracelet | Shoes (Joann by Leila Stone) | Clutch […]

Poncho Sweater

Sleeveless outerwear is trending this season! You have probably already noticed this trend blowing up Instagram. Chances are high your favorite fashionistas are rocking sleeveless trenches, fringe vests, and sleeveless sweaters like it’s their job. Well, since you’ve already seen version one Sleeveless Sweater, today I am presenting you with version two Poncho Sweater.     Who doesn’t love a cozy sweater to curl up in on a crisp autumn day?! Especially when it is one that you can take from day to night. The poncho sweater, my friends, is a must-have item. Slip one of these on with a pair of leggings and boots for an effortlessly chic look, that happens to be just as comfortable as your pajamas! When it is time to hit the streets for happy hour, throw on some distressed denim, a pair of pumps, and off you go. I chose option two for this weekend’s activities and paired my poncho with dark blue ripped jeans and nude pumps. When you have a petite frame and you’re styling a shapeless garment, the more height the better – I didn’t want it to look like I was swimming in the thing!     I accessorized with […]

Chevron Shirt

Chevron is like the print that keeps on giving. From tapestries, drinkware, to apparel, this pattern is everywhere. Here is how I styled my latest zigzag find.     The Glamorous Chevron and On Knit Top from Nasty Gal throws back to the 1970’s, and the orangey-brown hues make it the perfect fall piece. Featuring a mock-neck, and cropped fitted bodice, this little thing was made for high-waisted bottoms. With the temperatures dropping in San Francisco, I paired this top with high-waisted denim pants, although I originally planned to wear a high-rise denim skirt. I incorporated a boho leather and silver belt to create a smooth transition from top to bottom and layered up with a faux fur vest. I completed the look with a pair of mustard statement earrings and my new “boots with the fur” from ShoeDazzle.     Shop this Post: Top | Jeans (similar) | Vest | Shoes (Joann by Leila Stone)     Are you reading this from your email? Crazy For Cruffins

If you have not yet experienced the #MrHolmesBakehouse Instagram “takeover,” hop to it! I am not going to lie, if it wasn’t for the pink “I Got Baked in San Francisco” neon sign blowing up my feed, my summer would not have been as sweet.     Tucked away on Larkin Street, minutes from the ever popular Union Square, sits Mr. Holmes Bakehouse – your home to the croissant muffin aka “Cruffin.” Holmies line up daily by 8:30 am to get a taste of this decadent concoction. If you snooze you lose – there is a method to the madness, and I’ve got it down to a science. Arrive no later than 8:35, grab a coffee, then wait in line until the first batch of cruffins is out of the oven promptly at 9.     This savory breakfast item is flakey like a croissant, shaped like a muffin, and filled with a different pudding flavor each day. From peanut butter and jelly, pistachio, to salted caramel, you name it they’ve made it. My favorites to date are peach cobbler, and triple chocolate. If this description does not have your mouth watering, an even larger assortment of baked goods is […]
