Black and white never fails. By that I mean this combination will forever be considered a classic. Whether it is a black and white dress, a jumpsuit, or shorts and a top, you cannot go wrong with a good black and white outfit. I like to throw together an ensemble featuring these hues when I am in a rush or having one of those, “I have nothing to wear” moments. Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in investing in quality pieces. But from a practical standpoint, if you are going to hand over a lot of hard earned money just for an article of clothing, make it a classic. The nude pumps photographed below are a good example…yeah the red soles up the market value but they practically match with everything and as long as my feet don’t grow or shrink, the ROI (return on investment) should be pretty good. Just when you think the Naked collection cannot get any better, they introduce another desirable product, the Naked Smoky palette. With names like, “Smolder,” “Password,” and “Dirtysweet,” I cannot wait to meet this hot item. If you already own any or all of the first three Naked eyeshadow palettes, then you have probably noticed that each kit has a theme. For example, the original Naked features an assortment of bronzy hues and neutrals – the shadows I wear most often. Naked 3 on the other hand, is comprised of rosey hues and neutrals – great for a special occasion or night on the town. It appears that Naked Smoky includes a diverse color range. Take advantage of the summer months ahead and wear out your favorite white denim! There is something so crisp about a good pair of white flare jeans, that you can easily dress them up or down depending on the occasion. Pair them with a peplum top and head out for date night, or throw on a graphic tee for a casual day around the neighborhood. My day is in between the two scenarios above, so I styled my white denim with a chambray off-the-shoulder flounce sleeve top. This shirt is under $50 from Zara and a great versatile piece to add to your wardrobe. I accessorized this look with a chunky yellow necklace, a leopard print clutch, and yellow patent leather pumps. Incorporating a pop of color into an outfit can be a game changer. Without the necklace and shoes, this outfit would have been acceptable, but a tad uninteresting.
