Rather than indulging in a donut for breakfast, treat yourself to a healthy smoothie! This protein packed frozen drink will keep you feeling satisfied for longer and help you cut back on snacking in between meals. In no way shape or form am I a nutrition expert, but I am speaking from experience. Here is what you’ll need to blend up a single serving of this concoction: 1 banana 1 handful of berries (I used strawberries) 1/2 cup crushed ice 1/2 cup Greek yogurt 1-2 tablespoons almond butter After slicing up the banana, pour banana, crushed ice, Greek yogurt and almond butter into blender, pulsing until smooth . Once mixture is smooth, add berries of choice. Serve and enjoy or transfer into your favorite travel mug and sip on the run. A word about my Hamilton Beach blender. Festival season is quickly approaching and there is no better time to start collecting your festival must-haves. This week as I played around with the latest inventory at Liv Fashion Boutique, a pair of wide leg pants caught my eye. If you’ve signed yourself up to stand around all day in the sun, then you might as well be comfortable and cool while you’re doing it! Invest in a pair of light weight wide-leg pants. There is nothing worse than a pair of shorts that ride up every step you take. A well-fitting pair of pants will stay in place, and if they are palazzos, they won’t stick to you either. In the ensemble below, I styled these pants with a black racerback tank and an open front chiffon cardigan. I always like to have a little something over my shoulders in case it is breezy.
