Chunky Sweater

A versatile chunky sweater will become your BFF during the winter months. You have probably noticed them styled to a T while leafing through your favorite magazines, and across Instagram by your fellow fashionistas. Although today, I am showing you how to style a chunky sweater for a casual day in the city, don’t be surprised if you see this cozy knit-ware pop up again with a skirt!

Basic with a twist…my exact thoughts when it comes to buying a sweater. If you live in a moderate climate like San Francisco, then there is no need to stock up on heavy cardigans – choose wisely! That is why I suggest a neutral color, like the off-white sweater pictured below. This one fit the bill as it features a playful fringe detail and a dolman sleeve. Dark ripped jeans seem to be my go-to bottoms this season, so I paired them with this sweater to create contrast. I polished off the look with snuggly fur-lined ankle boots, and a faux fur headband.
